The parliamentary action of The Gulf Cooperation Council"s countries meets the goals set by GCC leaders in terms of bolstering cooperation and coordination, Kuwait Parliament Speaker Jassem Al-Kharafi said, addressing a GCC meeting Sunday. The speaker was addressing the opening of the meeting of GCC heads of parliaments and Shoura councils which lasts for two days. The speaker said regular meetings must build on what the Council has accomplished so far and noted the current global situation requires utmost coordination to meet many challenges. "The Joint parliamentary action has shown marked improvement in institutional development and building, especially after the approval of the regulatory guidelines document in the previous meeting in Oman.
