Shoura Council Chairman Dr. Salih bin Homaid delivered today a speech at the opening of the first consultative meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries currently being held in Doha, Qatar. In the speech, he called for cooperation and coordination among the GCC countries' parliaments and highlighted the importance of establishing joint parliamentary integration in the GCC countries. The two-day meeting will discuss issues concerning the structure and work of the meetings of the GCC countries' parliaments and the establishment of a mechanism to achieve coordination and integration among GCC countries and their parliaments.
