Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will participate in The Gulf International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) Conference for Standardization and Conformity Assessment in Electro-technology, which is scheduled to take place in Bahrain from December 7-8. A number of experts in this specialized field will attend the Conference, which is jointly organized by the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO); International Electro-technical Commission (IEC); Worldwide System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electro-technical Equipment and Components (IECEE) and Bahrain"s Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The Secretary-General of the Makkah Chamber Yassir Awan said the electro-technical standardization conference - the first of its kind in the Middle East - is of vital importance because it focuses on electro-technology the most important productive sectors. He affirmed that this conference and its recommendations will be reflected positively on the economy and consumers alike. --SPA
