Quds, October 04, SPA --More than 20 Palestinians from the city of Al-Quds were wounded while others were detained in confrontations and clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police in the vicinity of the Blessed Mosque of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestinian sources said today. The sources quoted witnesses as saying that the Israeli police used batons and rubber bullets against people who were inside Al-Aqsa Mosque and injuring dozens of them, including Sheikh Kamal Khatib, deputy head of the Islamic movement in the occupied territories of 48, who was attacked by the occupation authorities. The sources pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities declared that the area around the Old City of Al-Quds as a military zone and prevented Muslim worshipers from reaching the Blessed Mosque of Al-Aqsa . Meanwhile, The Al-Asbat Gate (the Lions' Gate) witnessed today clashes between Muslim worshipers who tried to reach al-Aqsa Mosque and the police forces and border guards.
