The International Islamic Fiqh Academy has condemned the vicious Zionist attack against al-Aqsa Mosque on September 27, 2009. On the name of the Muslim scholars, the international Islamic Fiqh Academy drew the attention of the Muslims to the importance of shouldering their responsibility towards al-Aqsa Mosque which has been subjected to continuous attacks and aggressions by the Zionist gangs. The statement issued today called for exerting all possible efforts for the liberation of al-Quds from the Zionist occupation and aggression as well as protecting the rights of the Palestinian people who have been falling under the yoke of the occupation. In line with the teachings of Islam, it is the duty of the Muslims to extend all possible support to the Palestinians and to enable them protect al-Quds and its blessed Mosque from the menace of judaization. The statement underscored the importance of enabling the Palestinians establish their independent state with al-Quds as its capital. It is high time for activation of the international resolutions pertaining to the Palestinian cause and enabling the Palestinians restore their usurped rights, the statement said. Meanwhile, the statement urged the Palestinians to close their ranks and to work for putting an end to their disputes and differences for confronting the occupying forces. It noted that continuation of disunity among the Palestinians will enable their enemy to realize its expansionist policy at their expense. The statement called for confronting the Zionist plots which aim at building more settlements in the Palestinian territories.
