The Deputy Chairman of Committee of Al-Aqsa Mosque Construction Eng. Raef Najm said that Israel wants to build new Al-Quds by 2020, where the number of Jews exceeds two-thirds of its population. In a press statement today, he pointed out that Israel has hindered the Committee's works since the beginning of 2001 and wants to build what is called David City on the ruins of the old city to revive its alleged Jewish history. He noted that Israeli occupation authorities have begun to dig tunnels around and beneath Al-Aqsa Mosque aiming to demolish the Mosque and the old city which is an Islamic heritage.
