Prince Turki Al-Faisal attended in New York on Friday evening the concluding session of annual meetings of "Clinton Global Initiative". Addressing the session, the former U.S. President, Bill Clinton emphasized the importance of the role of Non-Governmental Organizations in community services, pointing in this regard to the pledges received by the Initiative from donors for allocation of $ 9.4 billion for community services programs, the improvement of education, health care and environmental protection in various parts of the world. In a speech on the occasion, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for supporting programs of combating poverty, provision of food and improvement of agricultural development in developing countries.
