Clinton Global Initiative concluded here last night its annual meetings, which were held on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations. The closing meeting was attended by U.S. President Barack Obama, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, and a large number of former Heads of Government. A report on the achievements of Clinton initiative said that that more than 200 million people in more than one 100 countries have benefited from the programs of the initiative by providing and funding practical solutions to development issues and the roles of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in these efforts. It is noteworthy that former U.S. President Bill Clinton founded the initiative in 2005 to support issues of development, health care and environmental conservation in cooperation between private sector institutions and non-governmental organizations at global arena.
