The Chairman of Scholar Council of Followers of Prophet's Sunnah in Egypt Dr. Jamal Al-Marakbi has commended the fruitful efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the service of the Holy Quran including the annual organization of King Abdulaziz International Contest for Memorization of the Holy Quran scheduled in Makkah on Shawwal 16, 1430H, corresponding to October 5, 2009. In a statement on the occasion of the contest, he wished the Saudi leadership all success in the service of Islam and the dissemination of religious education and memorization of the Holy Quran. On the other hand, Yemeni Minister of Endowments and Guidance Judge Homoud Abdulhamid Al-Hattar said that the contest has a special importance as it is one among the greatest international contests for memorization of the Holy Quran. He noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has given the Holy Quran its utmost attention as it is the Kingdom's constitution and the source of its legislation.
