Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call And Guidance Dr Salih Al Al-sheikh has highlighted the significance of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz contest for the memorization of Hadeeth (the Prophet's sayings) and said it would have a positive impact on the society. Speaking on the occasion of the ceremony of the prize, he said the leadership and Ulema (Muslim scholars) in the Kingdom have been giving utmost attention to the Holy Quran and Sunnah, and that they advocate for their implementation in words and deeds. The contest will link the youth with their religion which calls for moderation, he noted. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he said 'we should demonstrate the importance of the Sunnah as a reply to the vicious attacks launched against the Prophet Mohammed, (Peace Be Upon Him).
