Customs officials at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and King Fahd Causeway foiled an attempt by smugglers to cross the Saudi border with over 11,000 bottles of wine. Director of King Abdulaziz Customs Department Othman Al Rugai said that the Department officials on Wednesday confiscated 6048 bottles of wine. The bottles were hidden into pieces of wood. According to Yousef Al Zakan, the Director of King Fahd Causeway, 4848 more bottles were captured on Friday by the causeway personnel while traffickers were attempting to smuggle the illegal alcoholic drinks across the border. -- SPA
