Bid to smuggle liquor foiled

Customs officials at King Abdul Aziz Port and the King Fahd Causeway in Dammam have seized just under 11,000 bottles of whisky from smugglers in the last week. Port authorities said that on Aug. 9 they uncovered 6,048 bottles hidden in a wood consignment, while two days later Causeway officers found 4,848 bottles in the tank of a truck.
