If a driver of a means of land or sea transport manages to receive, lift or disembark any person or material from the border areas, he will be subject to a term of imprisonment for not less than seven days and not more than 30 months and a fine of not less than 500 Saudi riyals and not more than 25,000 Saudi riyals or both. In addition to the above, the judge may order publishing the final verdict in one or more local newspapers issued in the same or nearest area where he is available at his expense. The Interior Ministry stresses the importance and the need to comply with the regulations for public interest.
