based Al-Yaum said the Arab Ministerial Council at its extraordinary meeting held in Cairo confirmed its adherence to the Arab peace initiative without introduction of any amendment. The paper noted that the peace initiative presented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in Beirut was presented after a careful study taking into account the Arab higher interests notably the Palestinian interests. "Moreover, the Kingdom presented the initiative after the approval of the Arab countries at the summit held in Beirut," said the paper, adding that the initiative aims at ending the Arab-Israeli dispute and bring about a settlement of the Palestinian refugees problem. The daily underscored the importance of adherence to the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland because the Palestinians were expelled from their homeland and their properties were confiscated by the usurpers. The daily believes that the practices of Israel which include Judaization of Al-Quds impede the peace efforts. "As the peace initiative is the best way for ending dispute in the Middle East and reaching a fair settlement based on land-for-peace principle, the Arabs will not tolerate any amendment in the peace initiative," the daily concluded.
