The Saudi Ambassador to India, Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Ghamidi asserted today the Kingdom's firm stance and constant support for the Palestinian struggle for restoring their legitimate rights in addition to its on-going diplomatic efforts to end the occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital. In this regard, he also highlighted the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud which became an Arab initiative and was adopted by the Beirut summit in 2002 and Riyadh summit in 2007. In a speech delivered during his participation in a symposium held by the Indian Council of External Affairs in New Delhi, the Saudi Ambassador said that this initiative contains all elements of a just and comprehensive peace, pointing out that Israel refused so far to respond to this just initiative which was unanimously approved by the Arabs. The Ambassador talked about the struggle of the Palestinian people to recover their usurped rights since 1948. He also highlighted the tragic conditions under which the Palestinians are living as a result of the continued Israeli aggression as well as the Israeli political, economic and military siege. Also, he spoke about the Israeli continued construction of settlements and the racial discrimination wall.
