U.S. forecasters said Tuesday that Felicia has been downgraded to a tropical depression over the Pacific Ocean. At 1500 GMT, Felicia had sustained winds of about 56 kilometers per hour (kph), was located 396 kilometers east of Honolulu, Hawaii, and was moving to the west at about 16 kph, the Honolulu-based Central Pacific Hurricane Center said. The tropical depression is expected to weaken further in the next two days, but a tropical storm watch was still in effect for the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Maui. Meanwhile, forecasters upgraded another Pacific depression far off Hawaii to Tropical Storm Maka, with top sustained winds near 64 kph. The storm's center was about 1,700 kilometers west-southwest of Honolulu, and it was moving west-northwest near 19 kph.
