Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired today at Al Salam Palace in Jeddah the Cabinet meeting. At the outset of the session, Prince Naif briefed the cabinet on the discussions and consultations made by the King and the Crown Prince in the past few days with leaders and envoys of friendly countries regarding the recent developments on the international arena. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Ankari said that the cabinet stressed the King's interest in solving Arab and Muslim issues especially the Palestinian Cause and the ongoing inter-Palestinian conflict. Dr. Al Ankari added that the Cabinet also emphasized the importance of the King's last message to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in which he addressed the current conflict between the Palestinian factions which only causes more harm to the Palestinian Cause in a time when national unity, reconciliation and concerted effort are crucially needed. --More
