In implementation of the directives of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior, and General Supervisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign for Relief of Palestinian People in Gaza, Ramadan Food Convoy for Relief of the Affected People in the Gaza Strip was launched in Riyadh today after the completion of coordination with concerned authorities in Egypt to facilitate the procedures for its entry. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Saed Al-Orabi Al-Harthi, Advisor to Second Deputy Premier and Interior Minister and the Campaign's President pointed out that the convoy comprised of 24 trucks weighing 352 tons of foodstuffs, medical supplies, and various sheltering aid as well as 11 ambulances for the relief of brothers in the Gaza Strip. "In implementation of the directives of Prince Naif, the Campaign has prepared a program for sending relief convoys for the relief of brothers in the Gaza Strip particularly due to the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan containing foodstuffs and medical supplies as contribution from the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinian people affected by the deterioration of living and health conditions that resulted from Israel's war on the Gaza Strip," he said. It is noteworthy that the campaign approved an amount of SR 139,960,700 for programs and projects carried out for the benefit of the affected people in the Gaza Strip.
