In implementation of the directives of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior, and General Supervisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign for Relief of Palestinian People in Gaza, the first consignment of Ramadan Food Convoy for Relief of the Affected People in the Gaza Strip arrived in the Gaza Strip on Sunday through Rafah Crossing on Egyptian-Palestinian Borders and delivered its consignment of foodstuffs and medical supplies to the Palestinian concerned parties. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Saed Al-Orabi Al-Harthi, Advisor to Second Deputy Premier and Interior Minister and the Campaign's President pointed out that the Campaign has coordinated with concerned authorities in Egypt and Palestinian parties in the Gaza Strip for the entry of the first consignment of the convoy to be distributed to the Palestinian needy families on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan. He noted that the Campaign continues its coordination with the concerned authorities for the delivery of other consignments of the convoy of foodstuffs and medical supplies as contribution from the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinian people affected by the deterioration of living and health conditions that resulted from Israel's war on the Gaza Strip. Dr. Al-Harthi indicated that the campaign approved an amount of SR 139,960,700 for programs and projects carried out for the benefit of the affected people in the Gaza Strip.
