Firefighters have been struggling for at least five hours to control a blaze at a warehouse in a pen factory in east China's Wenzhou City, Xinhua reported. The fire was reported at noon and the city fire department dispatched 26 fire engines and more than 100 firemen to the scene. A spokesman for the department said the fire could be fueled by materials like pen ink, which was flammable. No casualties had yet been reported, he said. Black smoke from the two-story warehouse in a development zone in Longwan District could be seen from the downtown area and a pungent smell permeated the area. Only the framework of the brick-steel structure remained standing. Residents said the building was only 10 meters away from a chemical factory, but away from residential areas.
