Firefighters have tackled a major blaze that broke out at two plastic factories owned by the al-Kbous Trading Group in the Aser area, Sana'a, Saba reported. Director of the Civil Defense in the Secretariat Capital Abdul Karim al-Bukhaiti said the firemen had to fight for four hours to control the blaze. There were no injuries, he said. Some of the firemen fainted and they were sent to nearby hospitals for first aid. Al-Bukhaiti said the fire lasted for several hours due to the combustible products at the factories as they manufactured plastic materials. Other reason was the lack of safety systems at the factories. Authorities are investigating the accident, he said.
