Presided over by the Vice-Speaker Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamzah Hajjar, the Shoura Council held its 40th ordinary session here today. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Secretary General of the Shoura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Ghamdi said that the Council approved a request to ratify the GCC monetary union agreement. The Council also approved the annual report of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities for the fiscal year 1426/1427 AH. The Council also approved the draft national system for the protection against ionizing radiation and the safety of radioactive sources. The Council also approved a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council states and the Republic of Turkey.
