Tropical Storm Blanca off Mexico's Pacific coast was losing strength as it moved toward colder waters Tuesday, and is expected to weaken further. Blanca was about 750 kilometers southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula and was heading west-northwest at 17 kilometers per hour (kph), according to the Miami-based National Hurricane Center (NHC). The storm had maximum sustained winds near 75 kph, and the NHC said Blanca is expected to move over colder waters in the next few days and dissipate at sea.
