British soldier killed in Afghanistan

Britain's Ministry of Defense says a soldier has been killed by an explosion in Afghanistan.
The ministry said Wednesday that the soldier was fatally
injured while on patrol near Gereshk in Helmand province.
The soldier's name was not immediately released.
The soldier's death on Tuesday was the 166th suffered by
British forces in Afghanistan since 2001, Associated Press reported.
