The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, reiterated his unflinching support for the unity and stability of the Republic of Yemen. He rejected all calls for secession and all divisive voices that seek to tear apart the unity of the country. Ihsanoglu stressed that the unity of Yemen is grounded in many common denominators shared by Yemeni people. He also rebuffed all calls seeking to divide Yemen. While emphasizing the OIC's firm position supporting Yemen's territorial unity, its stability, security and territorial integrity, the Secretary General cautioned against heeding division-mongering voices. He called on Yemeni people to exercise discernment and caution about calls to undermine the unity of Yemen or disrupt its stability and territorial integrity.
