The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, condemned yesterday the recent terrorist attack perpetrated against a mosque in the city of Zahedan in Iran, killing 20 people and injuring 80. In a press statement issued here Saturday evening, Ihsanoglu dubbed the bombing a barbaric act targeting a mosque and praying worshippers. He called on Iranian authorities to refer the perpetrators of these criminal acts to justice. The Secretary General also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Iran, wishing the injured a prompt recovery.
