Presided over by its Chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Asheikh, the Shoura Council held today its 25th session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi said that the Council approved five amendments to the Commercial Mortgage Regulation. The council approved an annual report of the Authority of General Statistics and Information which included transforming the authority to a public corporation with financial and administrative independence whose board of directors be chaired by the Minister of Economy and Planning. The council approved an annual report of the Saudi Post including a number of recommendations aiming at improving its work. The council approved a draft memorandum of understanding on cultural and media cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
