The Shoura (Consultative) Council on Sunday approved the annual report of the Saudi Post including a number of recommendations aimed at improving its work. The Shoura Council session was presided over by its Chairman Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Aal Al-Sheikh. Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, the Council's Secretary General, said that session also approved five amendments to the Commercial Mortgage Regulation. It also approved the annual report of the Authority of General Statistics and Information which included transforming the authority to a public corporation with financial and administrative independence whose board of directors be chaired by the Minister of Economy and Planning. The Council approved a draft memorandum of understanding on cultural and media cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
