Presided over by its Chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Asheikh, the Shoura Council held today its 22nd session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi said that the Council took a majority vote in favor of the report of the Commission of Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice proposed by the Committee for Islamic and Judicial Affairs and Human Rights for the fiscal year 1426/1427H recommending the following: 1) the construction of the Commission's branches where needed. 2) Paying a 20% bonus for all field members of the Commission. 3) Developing of a joint awareness program addressed to society. Dr. Al Ghamdi also added that the Council approved by majority vote the recommendations by the same committee on creating jobs for Saudi women employees in the Commission. The Council also approved by majority vote the report proposed by the Committee for Economic Affairs and Energy on the draft for a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and its Qatari counterpart. The Council also completed discussions of the report by the Committee for Health and Environmental Affairs on the protection of harmful radiations. Dr. Al Ghamdi said that the Council recommended that be held for further discussions in its next session.
