UNRWA thanks OIC Secretary General

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) thanked the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu for his efforts to support UNRWA in Gaza Strip.
This came during a meeting held here today by the OIC Assistant Secretary General for Al-Quds and Palestine Affairs Samir Baker with Representative of UNRWA Commissioner General Peter Ford.
During the meeting, Ford called emphasized that UNRWA needs more than $345 million to meet the needs of the plan of "urgent response to restore basic services to Palestine refugees in Gaza Strip".
