Minister of Culture and Information Dr Abdulaziz Khoja has highlighted the great attention given by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Prophet's Sunnah (teachings) and said the Kingdom has become one of the most important countries as regards Islamic sciences ad researches. In a statement on the occasion of the final ceremony for the contest of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz for Hadeeth (Prophet's sayings) memorization, Dr Khoja said the concerned authorities in the Kingdom have been doing their best to revive and preserve the Sunnah. He noted that Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, and Interior Minister, has been sparing no effort in supporting Sunnah and contemporary Islamic studies. The prize of this contest aims at encouraging researches in the field of Sunnah which constitutes the second legislative source, he said. The Kingdom, while celebrating this great event, is projecting to the world a clear image of Islam which is an international religion that advocates tolerance, moderation and love and discards extremism, disunity and terrorism. Dr Khoja said the prize will enrich the Islamic library with authenticated researches which highlight the advantages of Islam and its capability to find suitable solutions for all requirements of the mankind.
