General Mufti of the Kingdom, Head of the Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Alsheikh said the Sunnah (the Prophet's teachings) is the second source of the Islamic Shariah after the Holy Quran. Speaking on the occasion of the final ceremony for Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Contest for the Memorization of Hadeeth (the Prophet's sayings), he praised the great attention being given by the Saudi officials to the Prophet's Sunnah. The prize of Prince Naif stands as a witness for the great attention given by the Saudi officials to the Sunnah, he said. Al Alsheikh expected that the contest would have a positive impact on the society notably on the youth.
