The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has agreed to grant Sudan a loan worth $12,6 million to finance a project for "Water Harvesting" in Gedaref state, eastern of Sudan which will be designed to secure water resources for human and animal use by building 3 dams, dig 27 wells and provide other facilities, it was announced here today. In a statement, the IDB's Resident Representative to Sudan, Zeinelabidene Ali Sayed Ahmed said that the bank also agreed to finance another project of cotton gins with a loan amounting to $19,5 million, to bring to $ 900 million the total loans Sudan received from the IDB since 1977.
