The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Sierra Leone signed here today a loan accord worth $10 million to finance a project for increasing and diversifying animal and botanical production as well as in fighting poverty in the rural regions of the West African country. The agreement was signed by Sierra Leone's ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Al Haja Emadu Deen Tejan-Sie and IDB's president Dr Ahmad Mohammed Ali. It is worth mentioning that the IDB has so far allocated about $70 million for financing development projects in Sierra Leone. The aforesaid sum was used in financing 32 development projects in the sectors of education, health, roads, agriculture, water supplies and rural development.
