Dr Manase Peter Salema, Director, Division of Asia and Pacific Department of Technical Cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) - Technical Cooperation Programme- has commended King Abdulaziz University (KAU) for the arduous efforts it exerted in successfully organizing the GCC International Symposium on Peaceful Nuclear Technology Applications. The three-day symposium was held (5-7/11/1429H) at the University under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz. The symposium was well-prepared for and there was a high level of organization that contributed to the achievement of its objectives, Dr Peter Salema said in a letter of appreciation he sent to Professor Osama S.Tayyab, President of KAU. On his part, Prof Abdullah Bin Omer Bafil, KAU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, has hailed Dr Mohammed Aljihni, Head Department of Nuclear Engineering at the KAU Faculty of Engineering, and Dr Mansour Almazroui, Head Department of Meteorology at the KAU Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture, for their strenuous efforts to ensure the success of the symposium by making the necessary arrangements and preparations.
