The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called for the performance of rain seeking (istiska) prayer all over the Kingdom on Wednesday, January 14, the Royal Court said in a statement issued today. In view of the country's need for rain and in pursuit of Sunnah (tradition) of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) during the delay of rain fall, the Monarch called for rain seeking prayer, urging all on more repentance, worship, benevolence and charity so that Almighty Allah accept their prayers, the statement added. The King also directed to perform rain seeking prayer at universities and schools throughout the Kingdom's regions
