1 Georgian policeman killed, 2 hurt, near Abkhazia

Georgia's Interior Ministry said one Georgian policeman has been killed and two others wounded by separatist forces near the breakaway province of Abkhazia, AP reported.
Spokesman Shota Utiashvili said Abkhazian militants fired on a Georgian police checkpoint near the village of Kurcha in Georgia's Zugdidi region. Utiashvili says Sunday's shelling wounded three officers, one of whom died later.
