Ghamdi, the University's Deputy Rector for exchange of knowledge and transfer of technology expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for accepting the degree of honorary doctorate awarded by the University. He said that this certificate is the least that can be awarded by the university to the leader of higher education and scientific research in our country, adding that the evolutionary initiatives launched by the University in its present stage have been due to moral and material support provided by the Saudi leadership. He noted that the development programmes including the establishment of Agency for Exchange of Knowledge and Transfer of Technology, programme of research chairs, nano-program and centers of distinction are linked to the support provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. For his part, Dr. Hatem bin Abdulrahman Abu Al-Samh, the University's Deputy Rector for Development and Quality said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his creative accomplishments at Islamic, Arab and international levels make the King a unique personality deserving the greatest appreciation and esteem, adding that it is an honor for King Saud University that the King accepts this appreciation in recognition of the progress of the march of higher education, scientific research and technological development in Saudi Arabia according to the King's directives and follow-up. --More
