The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness has honored Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz for the achievements made to promote the Vision 2020 initiative and seek resolutions from the World Health Organization and its General Assembly to compact visual disability. This came during the opening ceremony of the Eighth Meeting of the general assembly of IAPB in Argentina which is held every four years with participation by specialists and professionals in the fight against blindness and many politicians and prominent personalities in this area. The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness IAPB also presented to Saudi Arabia both the Global Partnership Award and the Regional Achievement Award in recognition from the International Community of the Kingdom's efforts led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the field of combating visual disability and to support decisions of WHO in the fight against blindness.
