The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Mane will leave tomorrow for Argentina to receive two international appreciation awards given by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of preventing blindness. The two awards are the 'Global Partnership Award' and 'Achievement Award Regional'. The handing over of the awards will be on August 25, 2008 during the opening ceremony of the 8th meeting of the general assembly of IAPB in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In a statement, the Minister said that such achievement is attributed to the support and directives given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, to the humanitarian initiatives to prevent blindness.
