The International Agency for Prevention of Blindness has honored Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Ahmad Bin Abdul Aziz for the achievements made in promoting the Vision 2020 initiative and supporting resolutions of the World Health Organization to combat visual disability. This came during the opening ceremony of the 8th meeting of the IAPB General Assembly in Argentina. The meeting is held every four years with participation of specialists and professionals in the fight against blindness. The IAPB also presented to Saudi Arabia both the Global Partnership Award and the Regional Achievement Award in recognition from the international community of the Kingdom's efforts in the field of combating visual disability and supporting WHO decisions in its fight against blindness.
