Iran and Ecuador signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on agricultural cooperation. Minister of Agriculture Jihad Mohammad Reza Eskandari and his Ecuadorian counterpart Walter Poveda Ricaurte signed the MoU here on Saturday, Islamic Republic News Agency "IRNA" reported. Under the MoU, the two ministries will strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries. The two sides also welcomed reciprocal investment in each other's agricultural sector as well as developing cooperation in the fields of research and education and support of joint research projects. The Iranian minister expressed hope that the content of the MoU can be implemented promptly and underlined the necessity of establishment of working groups to follow the agreement.
