Malaysia and Iran signed yesterday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on agricultural cooperation, paving the way for stronger and closer ties between the two countries, The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported. The MoU was inked by Iran's Minister of Agriculture Jiha Mohammad-Reza Eskandari and Malaysia's Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is currently on a trip to Iran. Eskandari said "there is a vast potential for the two countries to promote the bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry, research and education."
