Morocco's state news agency says police have seized more than 10 tons of drugs during raids in the north of the country and along its coasts. The MAP news agency says police caught two speedboats loaded with 7.7 tons of hashish as they were about to leave the northern Moroccan area of Larache to cross the Straits of Gibraltar toward Spain. Police then raided a nearby house and found three tons of cannabis leaves. Monday's report does not give an estimated street value for the drugs, seized Saturday, but says they were destroyed on the spot.
