Participants of the international knowledge forum, which ended its deliberations here last night, underscored the importance of an advanced industry for the Islamic health care. They called for allocation of more money for supporting researches and industries in this field in the Muslim countries. Speaking on the occasion health minister Dr Hamad al-Mani said the health ministry is planning to increase the number of the hospitals, and it is expected that the number will amount to 350 within the next four years. He pointed out that work is underway to implement hospital projects in the various parts of the Kingdom at a cost of more than sr 17 billion. Dr al-Mani said the number of health centers has amounted to 12000. He dded that the health ministry has been extending 65 percent of the health services, and the other governmental sectors have been extending 15 percent while the hospitals of the private sector have been extending 20 percent. Dr al-Mani noted that the health insurance will positively contribute to improving the efficiency of the hospitals.
