Tokyo stocks ended lower Thursday after investors sold issues to lock in profits from the previous day's gains, DPA reported. The Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 159.22 points, or 1.13 per cent, to close at 13,943.26. The broader Topix index of all first-section issues was also down 20.33 points, or 1.46 per cent, at 1,372.95. On currency markets at midday (0300 GMT), the dollar was quoted at 104.25-30 yen, down from Wednesday's 5 pm quote of 105.03-06 yen. The euro was quoted at 1.5315-20 dollars, down from Wednesday's 5 pm quote of 1.5497-5500 dollars, and at 159.69-74 yen, down from 162.80-84 yen.
