Regional Director of United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Middle East and South Africa Sigrid Kaag praised on Tuesday Yemeni successful effort to solve the problem facing children from smuggling, child labor, education, illiteracy and treatment of malnutrition, SABA reported. In her statement to Saba before returning home, she said all these successful efforts refer to the strong support by Yemeni leadership, women union and civil society organization, affirming that UNICEF organization would continue to support Yemen in these aspects. She pointed out that UNICEF organization allocated $ 50 million to develop program's development of education, health and literacy during the period 2007-2011, highlighting that she discussed with government's officials aspects of cooperation between the country and UNICEF in the areas of development.
