US dollar mostly down, gold up in European trading

The U.S. dollar was mostly down against
other major currencies in European trading Thursday. Gold
was up.
The euro traded at US$1.4717 up from US$1.4593 late
Wednesday in New York.

_1.0878 Swiss francs, down from 1.0951
_1.0100 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0285
The British pound was quoted at US$1.9696, up from
US$1.9605.
Gold traded in London at a bid price of US$906.25 a troy
ounce, up from US$888.40 late Thursday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$902.05 bid per troy ounce, up
from US$889.65.
Silver traded in London at US$16.23, up from US$16.08.
