Gold dealers in London fixed a recommended price of US$399.30 bid per troy ounce at midmorning, up from US$398.30 late Friday. In Zurich the bid price was US$399.13, up from US$397.45. Gold rose US$6.60 an ounce in Hong Kong to US$399.95. Silver opened in London at US$6.70 bid per troy ounce, up from US$6.60.
