Arab League, Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALESCO) has appointed Dr. Milord Habibi as new Chairman of the Rabat-based Arabization Coordination Bureau, an affiliate of ALESCO, replacing Abbas Alsawrani who held the office for the last 11 years. The Bureau was established in 1961 and adapted by the Arab League and consequently adjoined with ALESCO after the latter was established in 1970. The Bureau aims at coordinating efforts that are being exerted to enrich the Arabic Language with latest terminologies in all its linguistic aspects. A number of unified dictionaries in the domain of Arabization terminologies were issued by the Bureau. It has already issued 45 tri-lingual (Arabic, French and English) dictionaries in scientific and technical fields. Work is in progress to issue 15 additional Dictionaries with revisions and evaluations.
